<p>Martha Marie Bunch, 92, of Union, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at her son&rsquo;s home in Elkhart.</p> <p>Martha was born on November 22, 1928 in Lakeville, IN to the late, Rolla R. and Elva N. (Summers) Clark. She was married to the late, James Richard Bunch on December 5, 1947 in North Liberty, IN. He passed away on July 10, 1987. Martha is preceded in death by her husband, Richard and her siblings.</p> <p>Martha graduated from Lakeville High School. Martha was a member of the Elkhart Moose Lodge 599, snowmobile club and Pine Creek Church of the Brethren. She loved to travel to Hawaii and Europe. Martha loved being out in the water especially at her lake house. &nbsp;She was spunky, outgoing and loved to laugh. Most of all, she loved her family and partying with her friends.</p> <p>Martha is survived by her children, Jimmy Don Bunch of West Lafayette, IN, Kent Dale (Brenda) Bunch of Elkhart, and Mary Jane Wittenberg of Medford, OR; 5 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. &nbsp;</p> <p>There will be no services or visitation. A private burial will take place at Southlawn Cemetery in South Bend.</p> <p>Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514 is assisting the family.</p> <p>Memorial Contributions will be directed to Cancer Services of Elkhart County, 23971 U.S. Highway 33, Elkhart, IN 46517 or www.elkhartcancer.org.</p> <p>For those whom wish to share a memory or send a condolence may do so at www.billingsfuneral.com.</p>

Aunt Martha visited me often along with my mom.  During one visit, she decided to take my Miniature Schnauzer, Tasha, for a walk.  When she returned she said she had to stop and get Tasha an ice cream because it was too warm out there! HA!!!

At my wedding reception, Aunt Martha donned a pair of tennis shoes my friend had decorated for the occasion - purple high tops!  She had a good time dancing in those shoes!!

I remember a road trip to Oklahoma with Aunt Martha, Mary, my Mom and I.  After a stop to get gas (or maybe it was to et!) when we got back on the Interstate and drove for awhile before we realized we were headed back the way we came!  That was good for a laugh for many ... Continue Reading

Mushroom hunting.  So many different mushrooms in the woods. Mom knew what would kill you & what would taste good in her cast iron skillet over a fire.
