Jeaneen K. Beardsley Vancouver, Washington Obituary

Jeaneen K. Beardsley

Jeaneen K. (Harris) Beardsley transitioned into peace eternal on the morning of January 12th, 2021. She passed away at home while her hand was held by her beloved caregiver, Romeo. Affectionately known as "Neener" by her friends and family, Jeaneen was born June 18th, 1955, in Vancouver, Washington, to loving parents Henry and Lois Harris and sisters Kathy and Deb. The Harris sisters were raised on 112th in Vancouver. A street where every neighbor was family, as six consecutive homes were owned by relatives. “Neener” raised her own three children, Wendy, Brian, and Richard, in Salem, Oregon. In recent years, she moved back to Vancouver to be closer to her tight-knit family. “Neener” devoted her life to loving and caring for others throughout her life; as a waitress, a housekeeper, a caretaker, and as a loyal and dedicated friend. She had a gift for extending friendship to those in need. Our memories are filled with “Neener’s” love for all animals, tent camping with the family at The Hideaway, hunting for treasures around town, and collecting salt and pepper shakers, antiques, agates, shells, and rocks. She found her freedom and independence in her drives around town and into nature. Jeaneen will be greatly missed by her family; sisters Kathy Lehto (August Lehto) and Deb Harris; children Richard Beardsley (Sonja Beardsley), Wendy Harris (Ben Harris), and Brian Beardsley; as well as her nieces, nephew, cousins, grandchildren, and extended family and friends. We thank Romeo, Loyda, Maria, Mika, and all those who gave outstanding care to Jeaneen during her final days at New Horizon Adult Care Home. Due to Covid restrictions, there will not be a memorial service at this time. Flowers can be left graveside at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in the Garden of Devotion.
