Jesse Dominic Gonzoles Pasco, Washington Obituary

Jesse Dominic Gonzoles

In the early morning hours of January 9, 2021 Jesse Dominic Gonzoles, left this plain to fly with his beloved eagles. To know him was to love him “Pom-Pom” as he was fondly called by his immediate family was born in Bay City Michigan on December 14, 1946. After relocating to the Yakima Valley area in his youth he upon graduating from Mabton high school began his career as a railroader with the Northern Pacific Railway. We know him to be a man of service and it is evident that he has always had that Calling. He honorably served his country after turning 19 by enlisting and serving from 1965 to 1968 in the United States Army. When he returned from Vietnam he returned to the Columbia Basin area and went back to work having a long career as a railroader and retiring from Burlington northern Santa Fe at 65. Though his career was done He’s called to serve seem to be a fierce called as he was always there for those that needed him he continued his life of service as a member of a local 12 step program for over 25 years spreading his love joy humor and wisdom with multitudes. He may have sat silently but his presence was known, the calming presence, wicked sense of humor and patience beyond measure were always known at least by those who were blessed to know him. Jesse was an avid adventurer, something we his family will continue in his absence, in his honor. His love for nature was contagious and he shared it with you if you had a moment to gaze at the beautiful Birdseye view he had of the world. Camera ready, eyes on the sky, the first to see the beauty but never the only one as he shared the pictures and perspective as only he could. He will be greatly missed and was deeply loved by many. He will be laid to rest near his brothers in Arms @ The Washington State Veterans Cemetery. He is survived by his wife Melinda his children Michael and Shannon, his grandchildren Sean, Eric, Christian and Adrian and his great granddaughter Orion, the twinkle of his eye and his partner in crime. He leaves us to join his mother Alberta Domínguez and many family members and friends that have preceded him in death. He also leaves behind his siblings Ali Dominguez(Verna), Linda Beltran, Pauline Felix(Gilbert), Liz Walker, Maria Clark(Randy). He taught us all to love nature just a little more and enjoy the sweetness of life, literally. We all mourn his passing together in heart. Services will be held on Thursday, January the 14th, 2021, from 4:00-8:00 PM at Bruce Lee Memorial /Hillcrest Funerals and Cremation, 2804 West Lewis Street, Pasco, WA. There will be a zoom presentation for those who cannot attend. Zoom link will be posted on www.HillcrestFunerals.com. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made @ Jesse’s Eagle Fund, gofundme.com Grandpa, Pom-pom, Jesse, Dad you will be missed, the world seems dimmer now but we will honor you by drawing strength and continuing on together. Rest in Paradise.
