Harold Allen Tedrow of Springfield, Missouri died on January 13, 2021 at the age of 88 at the Jacob’s Ladder End-Of-Life Legacy home where had been a patient since January 8, 2021. His death was caused by long-term medical issues and his advanced age. Harold was born in Sullivan, Ohio January 24, 1932 to the late Clifford and Treca Tedrow. He spent most of his childhood until the age of 18 in the Ashland County Children’s Home. He was married to the late Margaret (Booth) Tedrow for over 55 years until her death in 2011. Harold spent over 35 years working as a tow-motor operator for the Hyco Dana Corp in Ashland, Ohio until it closed in 1991. After the Hyco closed, he worked at ABC Plastics in Lodi for his last few years before retiring. Harold and his wife Margaret were residents of Ashland County for much of their lives. They lived for 30 years in Polk until moving to Springfield, Missouri in 1997 so that they could spend time with their young granddaughters. Nothing gave them greater joy than their grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his daughter Linda Rose Tedrow, his brothers Allan Dale Leatherman and Delbert Tedrow, his sister Lela Hanzen and his half-sister June Reuer. He is survived by his sons Fred (Barbara Gaskill) Tedrow of Springfield, Missouri, Allen (Donna) Tedrow of Corpus Christi, TX, his half-brother Duane Tedrow of Mansfield, Ohio, granddaughters Julia (Mike) Nezworski, Hope Tedrow, Libby Tedrow, grandsons Matt Tedrow, and Steven (Chanda) Tedrow. He has two great-grandsons Dillon Tedrow and Khin Tedrow. In accordance with Harold’s wishes, his remains will be placed in the Polk Cemetery with his wife Margaret and his daughter Linda. No services are planned at this time. Mr. Tedrow's care was entrusted to Walnut Lawn Funeral Home.
