Betty Louise Babion

<p>Betty Louise Babion passed away January 12, 2021, surrounded by her three children and their spouses, after enduring a long battle with cancer. She was 86 years old, born August 24, 1934, in Leadville, Colorado.</p> <p>During her life, she loved family gatherings, playing chicken foot, crafting, art and even a little wood carving. She was always on an adventure, going for walks with her dog, Mollie, and creating special memories with the ones she loved. She loved Christmas time almost as much as she loved entertaining company. She loved working in her yard, having people on the back patio and showing off the squirrels that played. She was known for her hand-painted lady bugs, macaroni and tomatoes (Betty&rsquo;s Soup), popcorn balls and her famous fudge. She enjoyed making memories with her family and was always full of smiles and laughter.</p> <p>&nbsp;Betty married her first husband, Loyd Fairchild, in 1952.&nbsp; He preceded her in death in 1984. Her second husband, Don Babion, whom she married in 1993, preceded her in death in 2020. Each shared many memories, love and laughter and held a special place in her heart.</p> <p>Betty is survived by her three children, Connie (Bill) Nelson, Debbie (Willie) Almazan, Kenny (Sherry) Fairchild; stepchildren, Doug and Sherri Babion; five grandchildren, Bill (Renee) Nelson, Kim (Tim) Osborn, Laura (Mike) Ryker, Danny (Nicole) Fairchild and Jessica (Justin) Woods; numerous great- grandchildren; brothers, Bobby (Lynn) Tinkle, Herbie (Ruth) Tinkle and Dale (Anne) Tinkle.</p> <p>She was also preceded in death by her parents, Alvaretta Ruth Tinkle and Ralph Tinkle; sister, Violet Travis; brother-in-law, LeRoy Travis and stepson, Scott Babion.</p> <p>The family will be holding a memorial service at a later date.</p>
