Frances Lee Ruff Moss

Mrs. Frances Lee Ruff Moss, 91, of Hillcrest Avenue, Elberton, wife of the late Ralph Marshall Moss, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital. Mrs. Moss was born in Elberton on May 28, 1929, daughter of the late Willie Lee Ruff and Katie Glenn Ruff. She was employed in the granite industry all of her life, having worked at Worley Brothers Granite, Welch and Worley Granite, and Walker Granite. Frances was a member of West End Baptist Church. She enjoyed being “on the go”, and loved being together with her family. Mrs. Moss enjoyed watching fireworks and looking at Christmas lights. Survivors include her children: Dennis and Diane Moss of Elberton and Marsha Fowler of Mountain Rest, SC; sister and best friend, Sybil Smith of Elberton; grandchildren: John Davis of Seneca, SC, Janis Fowler of Austin, TX, Debbie and Brett Siedschlag of Columbia, SC and Dana and BJ Moon of Elberton; two great-grandchildren: Eva Siedschlag of Columbia, SC and Rebecca Moon of Elberton; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her brother, Harold “Hank” Ruff. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, January 16, at 11 o’clock in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Fife officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Bowman. The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 10:00-10:45a.m. prior to the service on Saturday. Contributions may be made in her memory to West End Baptist Church, 811 Mercer Drive, Elberton, GA 30635. Those wishing may sign the online guestbook at www.berryfh.com. I remember Ms Frances coming to church every Sunday. Although I haven’t seen her in years, she was a very sweet.
