Huba “Donnell” Burton, age 82 years, of Billings, MO, passed away on January 12, 2021. She was born on May 5, 1938, in Chadwick, Missouri, to Huber and Lucy (Hires) Mitchell. Huba attended Chadwick High School in Chadwick, Missouri. She married Curtis J Burton on December 17, 1967. To this union, two children were born: Tanya Thompson and Michelle Clevenger. Donnell worked for Lily-Tulip Cup Corporation and she farmed Dairy and Beef cattle with her husband, Curtis. She loved farm life with Curtis. Donnell also enjoyed numerous trips to Tunica, Mississippi and Downstream. However, the highlight of her life was being with her grandkids. She enjoyed watching her grandkids play sports. Anything that involved her grandkids was her favorite. Donnell was preceded in death by her parents, Huber and Lucy Mitchell; her brother Lewis (Sonny) Mitchell; a niece; and her father in-law and mother in-law: Curtis (Speedy) Burton, and Pearl (Burton) Phillips. She is survived by her husband, Curtis Burton; two children: Tanya Thompson and her husband, Scott, Michelle Clevenger and her husband, Travis; grandchildren: Dalton Thompson, Dylan Thompson, and Allie Clevenger; brother in-law: Dale Burton (Carol); sister-in-law: Debbie Farris (Art); special uncle: Jim Mitchell; numerous cousins and a host of family friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM in the evening at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home in Springfield, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at 1:00 PM in the afternoon at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home. Donnell will be laid to rest at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Clever, Missouri.
