Anteneh Guebre Tsadik Obituary

Age 50 of Andover. Passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in his sleep of natural causes on January 10th, 2021.

Anteneh made his home in Andover, MN with his wife, Nicole and son of nearly 5, Gabriel. He adored his family and was very attentive to Nicole and Gabriel. His free time was spent in the nature around his home, traveling with family, and enjoying the company of dear friends. One of Anteneh’s favorite spots was on the family boat: enjoying picnics, swimming in the lake and throwing a line in now and then. To those who didn’t know Anteneh well, he was often seen as a quiet man, but his love and concern for those who surrounded him spoke loudly.

Prior to settling in Minnesota, Anteneh made international footprints. Anteneh was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and relocated to Frankfurt, Germany in his early teens with his family. He attended the Lycee Guebre-Mariam school in Addis Ababa and Lycee Francais de Francfort in Frankfurt. He moved to Grand Forks, ND to attend the University of North Dakota where he received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Anteneh made many lifelong friendships across the globe and left an imprint on all their hearts. Anteneh will be remembered with much joy for his gentle spirit, kindness, and generosity.

At the time of his passing he held a Program Manager position at Cohu, Inc,; White Bear Lake, MN. Anteneh was awarded five United States and two International Patents. He was uplifted with those he met in his time volunteering with People Serving People and Family Promise.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Belaynash Kassa, grandfather, Guebre Tsadik; father, Walter Alfs and father-in law, Dale Buskohl. He is survived by his loving wife, Nicole (Buskohl) Tsadik; son, Gabriel Tsadik; father and mother-in-law, Lonnie and Ruth Buskohl Van Gelder; brother and sister-in-law, Austin and Jen Buskohl; mother, Etetu Alfs; brother, Marc Alfs; sister, Rebecca Alfs; brother, Daniel Guebre-Tsadik and many nephews, nieces, family and friends.

Due to COVID-19, a memorial service will take place at a later date.
