<p>A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point for Dorothy M. Wimberley, 81, who passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 9:41 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette.</p><p>Fr. Patrick Broussard, Pastor of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in St. John Chapel Cemetery in Lewisburg.</p><p>The family has requested the visitation to be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday at 7 o’clock in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. Visitation will resume on Thursday at 8:00 a.m. until time of services.</p><p>Survivors include her husband of sixty three years, Jessie Wimberley of Church Point; three daughters, Rachel Wimberley of Church Point, Jessica Barousse of Church Point, D’Lane and husband, Gabe Thomas of Church Point; one son, Mitchel and wife, Stacy Wimberley of Church Point; one daughter-in-law, Robyn Wimberley of Lafayette; five sisters, Janell Henry of Rayne, Guinny Wimberley of Church Point, Henrietta Guidry of Sulphur, Pearl and husband, Bobby Wimberley of Church Point, Harriet Racca of Iowa; twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.</p><p>Mrs. Wimberley was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Wimberley; one son-in-law, Gerard Barousse; one great-grandson, Rhett Wimberley; her parents, Harry and Myrtle R.
