William "Billy" Jay Barton Timmins, Ontario Obituary

William "Billy" Jay Barton

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mr. Billy Barton announces his passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on Monday, January 11, 2021 at the age of 65 years. Beloved father of Willie D. Barton (Judy Bond-Barton) and grandfather of Cody W. Fay-Barton. He is survived by his 3 other children Charles Barton, Jennifer Barton and Shannon Barton as well as his many grandchildren. Left to mourn is his mother Ethel (Late Roy) Barton of Elliott Lake. He will be missed by his siblings Valerie Lamptman (Brian) of Sudbury, Joyce Tanguay (Wallie) of Elliott Lake, Debbie Barton of Sudbury and late Baron Barton of Edmonton. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and cousins. Saddened by his passing are his best friends; Rose Bertin, John Leduc and his fur baby, his dog Buddy. Billy had a great sense of humor and was a real joker. He worked as an electrician for IBEW for many years and truly enjoyed what he did. He always kept busy and enjoyed working on little projects and woodworking. He had an extraordinary talent and was called a Jack of all trades by many. As a pastime, he enjoyed strumming on his guitar and playing beautiful music. The family would like to thank Marnie Chisholm and Nancy Metsala from the North East LHIN, Nick Klimo "Mike" from Bayshore and Dr. Labelle for the excellent care provided to Billy during his illness. Due to covid restrictions, the family has decided to have a celebration of Billy's life at a later date. Remembrance donations to the Canadian Blood Services or the Timmins and District Humane Society or would be greatly appreciated. The funeral arrangements are entrusted with the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 150 Balsam St. S. Timmins.
