Mr. Willie Frank George Sr. was born on May 29, 1935 to Henry Lee George and Ruthie Mae Whiteside-George. He was the oldest child of this union. He was raised in Rosser, Texas. Upon graduating High School he was drafted into the United States Air Force. After leaving the Air Force he became a Long Haul Truck Driver for over thirty years. He was a proud lifetime member of the Teamsters Union. After retiring from Fleming Foods, he was a faithful school bus driver for Houston ISD for 18 years. After retiring from Houston ISD he worked as a private school bus driver until he was 80 years old. After relocating to Houston, Texas over 40 years ago Willie Frank became a faithful member of New Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, until his health declined and he relocated to San Antonio. He was a member of Grace First Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Allen D. Ford until his passing. Willie Frank was preceded in death by his father Henry, mother Ruthie Mae, brother James, sisters Joyce Lee and Thelma Jean. He was also preceded in death by his children Willie Frank George, Jr., Gloria Yvette George, Brenda George, and George Littlejohn. Left to cherish his memories are his children Minister Sherrye Bright (Garey), Pastor Carolyn Ramsey, Patricia Cox (Andre), Gregory George, and Sylvia George Stepson Steven Edward; siblings Robert Morris (Suzy) Moreno Valley, CA; Brenda Oliver, Ella Daniels, Edward George, and Ricky George (Judy) Terrell, TX and 16 grand children, 13 great grand children, and a host of Nieces, Nephews and many family and friends.
