Mary Kathryn “Kate” (Sleeth) Davisson, 73, of Alum Bridge, WV passed away on Monday, January 11th, 2021 at United Hospital Center following a brief illness. She was born on May 10th, 1947 in Lewis County to the late John Dale Sleeth and Beaulah Mae (Woofter) Sleeth. She was united in marriage on April 23rd, 1965 to her loving husband Ancil Roy Davisson, who survives. Kate is also survived by 1 daughter: Mary Ann Davisson Garrett (Rodney) of Alum Bridge, WV, 2 sons: John Carl Davisson (Dennette) of Alum Bridge, WV and James Bradley Davisson (Bobbie) of Weston, WV, 12 grandchildren: Sierra Cross, Kaitlin Eager, Traci Alton, Autumn Rittenhouse, Carrie Davisson, John David Davisson, Shyanna James, Joseph Davisson, Michael Davisson, Caleb Fancher, Sara Fancher and Jessica Fancher, 8 great-grandchildren: Emma Cross, Ali Cross, Boe Alton, Gracelynn Alton, Mia Alton, Lucas Alton, Jonathon Davisson and Connor Davisson, 4 brothers: Barney Sleeth of Fort Wayne, IN, Charlie Sleeth of Fort Wayne, IN, Pastor Pat Sleeth of Washington and Mike Sleeth of Hundred, WV, 2 sisters: Dixie Church of Hundred, WV and Jeannie McCue of Weston, WV and several nieces and nephews. Kate was a graduate of Weston High School class of 1965. She was a member of the Doyle Chapel United Methodist Church in Alum Bridge, WV. She was a loving and caring housewife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend to many. She loved to take care of others before ever thinking of herself. Most of all she cherished her family especially play time with her grandkids. Family and friends will be received at Hardman Family Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston, WV on Thursday, January 14th, 2021 from 5:00PM-7:00PM. A private family funeral service will be held on Friday, January 15th, 2021 at the Doyle Chapel United Methodist Church in Alum Bridge, WV at 11:00AM with Reverend Jack Jenkins officiating.
