Alan Hearlson

Alan Hearlson passed away following a long battle with cancer on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at his home in Geuda Springs, Kansas at the age of 64. He was born the son of Everett T. and June L. (Ingels) Hearlson on January 4, 1957 in Caney, Kansas. Alan began employment in the aircraft industry as a young man and retired from Boeing Aircraft / Spirit Aerosystems following a 35 year career. He is remembered as a Mopar man that loved owning JEEPS over the years. Alan looked forward to camping and fishing at Table Rock Lake. He enjoyed anytime spent with his family and friends and will be missed by all that knew him. Survivors include his daughter, Tricia Cook and husband Nathan of Geuda Springs, Kansas; twin-brother, Alvin Hearlson and wife Junell of Haysville, Kansas; sister, Beverly Garcia and husband John of California; sister, Evelyn Hearlson of Wellington, Kansas; sister, Mary Elaine Talkington and husband Ken of Emporia, Kansas; sister, Barbara Smith of Cedar Vale, Kansas; brother, Steven Ingels of Haysville, Kansas; wife of 25 years, Kimberly Hearlson; grandson, Colten A. Cook of Green Ridge, Missouri; granddaughter, Lakin Hansen and husband Eric of Wichita, Kansas; grandson, Preston Hearlson of Wichita, Kansas; granddaughter, Jadin Hearlson of Arkansas City, Kansas; great-granddaughter, Crew W. Cook of Green Ridge, Missouri along with his best friend and loyal companion, Rudy. He was preceded in death by his son, Loren L. Hearlson; father, Everett T. Hearlson; mother, June L. Hearlson; brother, Gilbert Hearlson; brother, E.T. Hearlson; brother, Wayne Hearlson and brother, Ervin Hearlson. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 13, 2021 with the family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. If attending, please plan to wear a face mask. Funeral services for Alan will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 14, 2021 in the chapel of Cornejo Funeral Home + Crematory, Wellington, Kansas. If attending, please plan to wear a face mask and social distance. Interment will follow at Geuda Springs Cemetery, Geuda Springs, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established with the funeral home to assist with expenses. Many memories, mostly from the late 70s and 80s. As we got older only saw you here and there, bumping into you, but always had a smile and would stop to talk. Oh and those dimples! Rest easy old friend.
