A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Mallet for Ozia Papillion, 81, who passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021 at 9:28 A.M. at his home in Church Point. Fr. Stanley Jawa, SVD, Pastor of St. Ann’s Catholic Church will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in St. Ann’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Mallet. The family has requested the visitation to be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 8:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. Survivors include one daughter, Amy and husband, Brad Gibson of Church Point; four sons, Noleman Papillion of Church Point, Joseph Fredrick Papillion of Church Point, Carl and wife, Christina Papillion of Church Point, Ricky and wife, Rebecca Papillion of Katy, TX; two brothers, Walman Papillion of Lake Charles, Felton and wife, Delores Papillion, Crosby, TX; three sisters, Elsie Mae Bellow of Swords, Marietha Mitchell of Ames, TX and Vernita Rivon of Raywood, TX; twelve grandchildren, Doreska and husband, James Manuel, Latosha and husband, LaVaunt, III Maupin, Julia Papillion, Jasmine Williams, Lance Papillion, Shayla Gibson, Aaliyah Citizen, Marissa Gibson, Selena Papillion, Haley Gibson, Mya Papillion and Dale Gibson; ten great-grandchildren, Justin, Chloe, Charli, Kaylin, Jamaya, Adam, Lavant, IV, Noah, Angel, and Ja’marien. Mr. Papillion was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Bell Guillory Papillion, his parents, Theodule Papillion, Sr. and Hilda Guillory Papillion, two sisters, Anastasia Gobert, and Mayola Ford; three brothers, Theodule Papillion, Jr., Hilton Papillion and his twin brother, Ozeya Papillion.
