<p>Delbert Joseph McKay of O-Chi-Chak-Ko-Sipi First Nation (Crane River) passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at the age of 60 years.&nbsp; Delbert was born on December 2, 1960 in Ste Rose.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Delbert was predeceased by his parents Clements and Rita McKay, brothers Clayton McKay and Michael Morrisseau, his grandparents Charlie and Elizabeth McKay and John &amp; Maggie Bull, his grandson Rylynn Bass, his brothers-in-law Danny Beaulieu, Dale Guiboche, and Nelson Houle, his auntie Eileen McDonald and his uncle Walter McKay.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Delbert leaves to mourn his passing and cherish many wonderful memories; his wife of 42 years Maxine McKay, his children Enna (David), Debra (Ryan), Tiffany, Delbert Jr (Amanda), Clayton Sr (Sally),&nbsp; Wesley Sr (Cherylynn) and Nelson (Danielle).&nbsp; his 24 grandchildren Candace, Preston, Delaney, Chantal, Mitchell, Charles, Julian, Rueben, Joclynn, Raven, Janeen, Rayden, Delbert III, Dalton, Adrian, Clayton Jr, Ashlee, Colby, Wesley Jr, Ammie, Danice, Nellie, Lacey Jay, and Derrick, his 4 great grandchildren Austin, Ashlynn, Mackenna, and Baron, his brothers Lawrence (Shannon), Wayne (Twyla), Alvin (Jessica), Patrick (Miranda) and Paul (Vania), his sisters Elizabeth, Charlotte (Lobster), Susie (Sammy), Charlene, Patricia, Rachel (Gerry), his sisters-in-law Jane, Denise (Terry), Josephine, Beverly, Delphine and Sandra and his brothers-in-law Roger (Roxanne), Doug (Laura), and Jason as well numerous nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>A traditional wake began&nbsp;on Thursday, January 14th, 2021 from the residence of Maxine McKay, House 8020, O-Chi-Chak-Ko-Sipi First Nation at 5:00 pm .&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Funeral Service was&nbsp;held on Saturday, January 16th, 2021 at 2:00 PM from the residence of Maxine McKay, House 8020, O-Chi-Chak-Ko-Sipi First Nation.&nbsp; Interment followed&nbsp;in the Crane River Reserve Cemetery.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>The family would like to thank Dr. Catherine Gudmundson, the Ste Rose Hospital staff and CancerCare in Winnipeg for taking care of Delbert until the end.&nbsp; May God bless you all&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Delbert Joseph McKay of O-Chi-Chak-Ko-Sipi First Nation (Crane River) passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at the age of 60 years.  Delbert was born on December 2, 1960 in Ste Rose.  

Delbert was predeceased by his parents Clements and Rita McKay, brothers Clayton McKay and Michael Morrisseau, his grandparents Charlie and Elizabeth McKay and John & Maggie Bull, his grandson Rylynn Bass, his brothers-in-law Danny Beaulieu, Dale Guiboche, and Nelson Houle, his auntie Eileen McDonald and his uncle Walter McKay.

A traditional wake began on Thursday, January 14th, 2021 from the residence of Maxine McKay, House 8020, O-Chi-Chak-Ko-Sipi First Nation at 5:00 pm .    

Funeral Service was held on Saturday, January 16th, 2021 at 2:00 PM from the residence of Maxine McKay, House 8020, O-Chi-Chak-Ko-Sipi First Nation.  Interment followed in the Crane River Reserve Cemetery.  

The family would like to thank Dr. Catherine Gudmundson, the Ste Rose Hospital staff and CancerCare in Winnipeg for taking care of Delbert until the end.  May God bless you all
