James Vandervort Leseberg
<p>Thermopolis resident, James Vandervort Leseberg, 85, passed away January 10, 2021 at his home.</p> <p>Born January 29, 1935 in Lander, he was one of five children born to Roy and Myrtle (Vandervort) Leseberg. He attended school in Lander.</p> <p>For most of his life, James was a machinist and welder until retirement.</p> <p>On November 28, 1953 he married Roberta J. “Bobbi” Kier. Five children were born to this union. The couple moved to Thermopolis in 2008.</p> <p>A member of St. Francis Catholic Church he was an active member of Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed woodturning, pets, family and friends.</p> <p>Family cherishing his memory include his children: Neal of Rock Springs, WY, Pamela Leseberg of Thermopolis and Diane (Corky) Ando of Powell; siblings, Bob (Laura) Leseberg of Thermopolis, Myrle Parks of Lander and Marilyn (Marvin) Hodges of Fort Collins, CO, eight grandchildren and seven great, great. James was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Joseph, son, Dale, daughter, Marie and wife, Roberta of 64 years.</p> <p>Graveside services will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Thursday, January 14, 1:00 PM with Father Randy Oswald officiating.
