<p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">Donald Lee Amato was born June 30, 1930 in Chicago.&nbsp; He passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 3, 2021 in Elkhorn, WI.&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">Don was the beloved husband of Sally Amato for 69 years.&nbsp; Sally recently passed away on October 29, 2020.&nbsp; Don and Sally established a close-knit family, supportive of family values and always providing loving care along the way.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">Don was the loving father of Lynn (Mike) Dziadula, Cynthia Amato, Joseph (Lori) Amato and Donald (Lynn) Amato; proud grandfather of nine, Karen Dziadula Shanahan, Stefanie Dziadula, Catherine Dziadula Tallman, Peter Karakosta, Leigh Karakosta Locker, Amber Karakosta Wuscher, Kevin (Rachel) Amato, Haley and Elizabeth Amato; and the cherished great grandfather of eleven.&nbsp;&nbsp; Don is further survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">A Barrington resident for 45 years and 30 years in Elkhorn Wisconsin, Don spent his career as a top Sales Manufacturers Representative in Illinois and Wisconsin.&nbsp; He cared deeply for his clients and thoroughly enjoyed his work, making lifelong friends along the way. &nbsp;Don and Sally were active in St. Patrick church including delivering Meals on Wheels and volunteering at Lakeland Healthcare Center.&nbsp; Don&rsquo;s lifelong passion was golf. As an avid golfer, the Amato family lived adjacent to 2 golf course for 60 years. Don had played many courses from St. Andrews in Scotland, to most warm weather states including multiple trips to Hawaii. &nbsp;He had his only hole-in-one at Lakelawn Lodge Resort, where he worked as a starter during retirement and loved talking golf every day.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">A mass for Don and Sally will be held privately.&nbsp; &nbsp;The Amato family appreciates all of your well wishes at this time. &nbsp;&nbsp;Please leave a fond memory under Tribute Wall. &nbsp;Donations to: Alzheimer&rsquo;s and Dementia foundations.</span></span></p>

Donald Lee Amato was born June 30, 1930 in Chicago.  He passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 3, 2021 in Elkhorn, WI. 

Don was the beloved husband of Sally Amato for 69 years.  Sally recently passed away on October 29, 2020.  Don and Sally established a close-knit family, supportive of family values and always providing loving care along the way.
