Barbara Lamb Statter
February 10, 1933 – January 3, 2021

Barbara Lamb Statter, 87,  passed away on January 3, 2021 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Barbara was born on February 10, 1933 to Wesley and Carolyn (Smith) Watkins in Garden Prairie, Illinois. She was the second born in a family of ten children.

In 1951, Barbara married Irving Lamb. In 1960, she and Irving left their rural farm in Wisconsin. They both admired the beauty of the Colorado mountains and established a home in Cascade, Colorado.

In 1976, she married James Firebaugh. Together they taught the value of a blended family and that love extends beyond bloodlines. She enjoyed being a stepmother to Teri, Jim, and Patty.

In 1984, she married Rudy Statter and left her beloved mountain home to live in Colorado Springs.

While raising her children, Barbara and Irving built a small family business. She earned an associate degree in office administration. Barbara worked in the plumbing and heating, banking, medical, and mental health industries. After retiring, she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed family gatherings and the holidays, especially Christmas. She also enjoyed reading, movies, and her sweet dogs.

She is survived by her children Mark (Debi) Lamb, Amy Lamb Wootten, Jay (Sandy) Lamb and Lisa (Steve) Feldhacker, nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, six siblings, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her infant son Brian, husbands Irving, Jim, and Rudy, son-in-law, Roger, parents, Wesley and Carolyn and three siblings, Karen, Jim, and Jean.

A memorial service will be held January 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mountain Memorial Funeral Home 51 County Road 5, Divide Colorado. Interment will take place at a later date.
