Joseph Guerino, 88, of Linden, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 9, 2021. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Visitation at the Walter Johnson Funeral Home, Clark on Tuesday, January 12 from 4 - 8 pm. The Funeral begins on Wednesday at 9:00 am the Funeral Home, thence to St. John the Apostle Church, Clark where a Funeral mass will be offered at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. To offer condolences please visit www.walterjohnsofh.com Mr. Guerino was born in Castagna, Catanzaro, Italy to Francesco and Angela Maria (Arcuri) Guerino. He lived in Elizabeth, prior to moving to Linden 17 years ago. Mr. Guerino was a Butcher at the A & P in Union for 44 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 253, the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks, the Crestlin Boys and the Societa San Benedetto. He loved to garden, make wine and cook for family and friends. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his eight loving grandchildren. Mr. Guerino is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Estherina (Muraca) Guerino; his devoted children, Maria Gray and her husband Steven, Frank Guerino and his wife Amy, Ann Panikiewsky and her husband Richard, Joseph Guerino and his wife Michele and Gina Rysinski and her husband Robert; his cherished grandchildren, Tony, John, Sofia, Angela, Eva, Richie, Gavin and Emma; his dear brother Mario Guerino and many loving nieces and nephews. Mr. Guerino was predeceased by his sisters and brother, Maria Felice Talarico and Rita Sacco and Emilio Guerino.
