Andrew J. Pitonyak Obituary

Andrew J. Pitonyak, 82, of Hazle Township, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021, at his residence in Hazle Township.
 
Born in Portage Township, January 13, 1938, he was the son of the late Marion and Anna (Krempasky) Pitonyak and spent the past 20 years in Hazle Township, after moving from Warminster.
 
Andrew graduated from Widener University in 1976 and was an Engineer for Rohm & Haas, Bristol. He was a member of Saint John Bosco Roman Catholic Church, Sugarloaf.  Andrew was Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, 8613 Our Lady of Fatima, Conyngham, for many years and previously held the position of Faithful Navigator in his council in Doylestown. He was a member of Eagle Rock HOA Architectural Review Committee and spent much of his time enjoying golf.  He was an all-around "Do It Yourself" type of guy who loved woodworking and anything involving cabinet making. Andrew most enjoyed traveling and spending time with his wife and best friend Sandy.
 
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by a brother Stephen Pitonyak.
 
Surviving are his loving wife, the former Sandra Trexler to whom he was married on September 29, 1962, in Portage; three children, David Pitonyak and his wife Lan of Fort Morgan, CO; Daniel Pitonyak of Warminster, PA; and Melissa Stefanowski and her husband Christopher of Warminster, PA; six grandchildren, Christopher Stefanowski and Sarah of Perkasie, PA; Alexis Stefanowski and Shane of Warminster, PA; Alyssa Stefanowski of Warminster, PA; and Cody, Simon and Nathan Pitonyak, all of Fort Morgan, CO; a great-granddaughter Rylee Stefanowski; three brothers, Louis Pitonyak and his wife Nancy of King of Prussia, PA; George Pitonyak and his wife Brenda of Kitty Hawk, NC; and Vincent Pitonyak and Sandy Squillario, his companion, of James Creek, PA; two sisters, Irene Krumenacker and her husband James of James Creek, PA; and Theresa Shedlock and her husband Robert of Lilly, PA; and many nieces and nephews.
 
His funeral will be held with a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 11 am in St. John Bosco RC Church, 573 PA-93, Sugarloaf.  Friends may call at Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums on Thursday morning from 9:30am to 10:30am.  Burial will take place privately at the convenience of the family.  COVID-19 restrictions on capacity, social distancing, and mask wearing will be enforced at all services.
