Doreen Lois Grilley
<p>Doreen was born March 27th, 1934 to Victor James Pound and Florance Landon<br /> Pound. Doreen’s Grandmother Landon did not like her first name so she was called<br /> Doreen all her life. Doreen was raised in Kalispell and graduated from Flathead County<br /> High School in 1952. She married the love of her life Wesley G. Grilley in Bremerton,<br /> WA on August 31st, 1952. They moved to Alaska in the fall of 1952, there there first<br /> child Wayne was born in 1955. They moved back to Kalispell where their second son<br /> Keith was born in 1957. Wes and Doreen seemed to travel and move a lot, seems as<br /> though where Wes’s father moved, his children followed. Starla was born in Arizona<br /> and Gaylene in California. Wes and Doreen moved back to the Flathead Valley for<br /> good in 1972 where Wes and his brother Roger had Grilley Brothers Construction and<br /> Doreen was their bookeeper, also working a small two hour a day job serving hot lunch<br /> at Petersen School. After retirement Wes and Doreen spent winters in Arizona where<br /> their was always lots of friends, family and potlucks going on at Grilley Desert Hideout.<br /> Doreen loved to cook, can goods, and host wonderful gatherings. Doreen loved her<br /> family dearly including her children Wayne (Tammy) Grilley, Keith (Cathy) Grilley, Starla<br /> Grilley and Gaylene (Randy) Birky, all of Kalispell. Her Grandchildren include Jeremy<br /> Winters, Jasmyn Hanson, Kevin Astry, Jake Grilley, Kate (Jareth) Wilson, Levi Birky,<br /> Paige (Kade) Branson. Doreen also has several great and great great grandchildren.<br /> She is survived by her sister Tootsie O’Myer and brother Terry Pound brother in laws<br /> Roger(Linda) Grilley and Ward Grilley.<br /> Graveside Services: Pastor Ron Pierce<br /> 2pm Conrad Cemetery<br /> Reception following at the home of Randy and Gaylene Birky, 285 Hemler Creek Dr, Kalispell<br /> <br /> </p>March 27, 1934 - January 7, 202103/27/193401/07/2021
