South Bend, IN-Danny E. Guerra, 86, passed away in Miller’s Merry Manor in Walkerton on Thursday, January 7, 2021.  Danny was born on October 5, 1934, in Mishawaka, IN, to the late Adam and Olga (Bissacchi) Guerra.  On April 2, 1955, in South Bend, Danny married Edna “Jackie” Gour who preceded him in death on October 24, 2007.  Also preceding him in death by a granddaughter, Tiffany.  Danny is survived by his children, Vicki (Terry) Toombs & their children, Ben and Jennifer; Bonnie (Bill) Edwards and their children, Kevin, Nikki & Krissy; Daniel Guerra and his children, Dawn & Byron; Roseanna (Dan) Bishop and their children, Trina, Theresa, Jason & Dominic; Jack (Martha) Guerra and their children, Danielle, Melissa & Joshua, Alan (Lois) Guerra and their children, Amber & Hope; brother, Richard (Connie) Guerra; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Danny worked at Ball Band/Uniroyal until his retirement in 1989.  He was well known around town as a local carpenter.  In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening but most of all spending time with his family.  He was a member of the DeAmici’s Club and attended Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Lakeville. 

Due to current health and safety standards, a private family service will be held at Hahn Funeral Home in Mishawaka on Monday, January 11, 2021.  Danny will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Pet Refuge at 4626 Burnett Drive, South Bend, IN 46614.
