Xyldia Gray Dail, 85, of 307 Halifax St., passed away Thursday, January 7, 2020 at the Lower Cape Fear Life Care Hospice in Wilmington.

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, January 10th at Clinton City Cemetery with Rev. Mike Shook, Rev. Cameron Dunn, Jackson Brock and Rev. Connie Morris officiating.  The family will receive friends at her home.

Xyldia, born in 1935 in Pitt County, was the daughter of the late Robert Jones and Ellen Crawford Jones. She was the Secretary at College Street Elementary School and a member of Grove Park Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Franklin Dail and siblings, Rob Jones, James Jones, Verna Johnson, Margie Sullivan, Marie Hart and Betty Lou Gurganus.

Survivors include; daughters, Debbie Brock of Leland and Vickie Dail of Clinton; grandchildren, Jackson Brock of Roseboro and Kasey Brock of Leland; sisters, Rev. Connie Morris of VA and Peggy Stocks of Greenville; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
