Kevin Willis Thibeault Obituary

With deepest sorrow, we announce that Kevin Willis Thibeault, age 29, our most beloved son, brother and friend passed away after a brief but courageous battle with cancer on Friday, January 1st, 2021 surrounded by family.

Kevin will be dearly missed by his parents, Joseph and LeAnn Thibeault; his partner, John Spencer; siblings, Kyle (Alicia) Thibeault, Kayla (Chris) Hall and Kory Thibeault; nieces and nephews, Alivia, Jaxon, Naomi and Joey; grandfather, Robert P. Dempsey; extended family members and many friends. While heartbroken, we are comforted to know that Kevin is with his Grammy, Joan Dempsey, and grandparents, Willis and Lena Thibeault.

Kevin grew up in Lebanon, CT, having attended Lyman Memorial High School.  He later obtained his Doctorate of Pharmacy from Northeastern University in Boston and went on to work at Mount Auburn Hospital, Shriners Children’s Hospital and Tufts Medical Center.  Kevin was also a member of the professional pharmacy fraternity, Phi Delta Chi.

An avid sports enthusiast, Kevin was a lifelong fan of Boston professional sports teams.  He also enjoyed playing soccer and supported Liverpool FC.  After having spent 10 years in Boston, he had recently moved to New York City where he had accepted a position as a pediatric pharmacist at Mount Sinai Hospital and was looking forward to embarking on a new chapter in his life with his cherished partner, John.

Kevin was a true and loyal friend, always willing and ready at a moment’s notice to meet up for a bite to eat, sporting event or grand adventure.  His quick wit, unforgettable smile, caring and easygoing personality will be forever missed.   Kevin was a compassionate worker, loving uncle, and kind spirit to those in need.  Those who were lucky enough to know him, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives and the world will never be the same again.

Friends and family are invited to a celebration of life July 10th, 2021 with details to follow.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

“May you never walk alone.”
