Alice McCoy
<p>Alice (Duddy) McCoy, age 100, passed away on January 2, 2021. The Duddy laugh has been silenced. The circle of life complete. Alice was born in Columbus on July 22, 1920 to the late Thomas Joseph and Mary Ellen Duddy. Married to William A. McCoy, Sr. at St. Therese Shrine on June 8, 1946 and lived above the garage there for the first 9 years of marriage, then the farm house where Mount Carmel East Hospital is now, where Bill Sr. farmed for the Sisters of St. Joseph. They were founding members of St. Pius X and St. Phillip the Apostle parishes. Preceded in death by husband; parents; sisters, Margaret, Anne, Catherine and Mary; brothers, William, John and Thomas. Survived by son, William A. (Christine) McCoy Jr. and daughter, Julie McCoy Greenfield; grandchildren, William A. (Emily) McCoy III, Anne and Raymond Greenfield; great-grandson, William A. McCoy IV; sisters –in-law Anadel (Charles) Shipman and Paula McCoy; many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Wednesday from 4-6 p.m. at Egan-Ryan Funeral Home, 403 East Broad Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Matthew Church, 807 Havens Corners Road. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Mother Angeline McCrory Manor for the compassion and care given to Alice these last five years. </p>July 22, 1920 - January 2, 202107/22/192001/02/2021
