LORNE HAROLD PULTZ
Lorne Harold Pultz, aged 73, of Pincher Creek, passed away January 2, 2021, at Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge.
Lorne was born on May 16, 1947, in Calgary, Alberta to Lawrence and Irene (Armitage) Pultz; the oldest of three siblings.
He proudly served in the Canadian Air Force for 25 years, allowing him to visit many different locations and to collect many friends along the way. After retiring, he became more involved in his local Royal Canadian Legions (Cold Lake Branch #211 and Pincher Creek Branch #43), playing crib and darts, and helping his comrades navigate the system at Veterans Affairs.
Lorne loved nothing more than to tell a story, to anyone who would listen, except maybe fishing and woodworking. He will be remembered through the many pieces of wood art that decorate the homes of his friends and family.
He was survived by his loving wife Jean (Wallace) of Pincher Creek; his children: Michael Pultz of Pincher Creek and Tina Pultz of Edmonton; and sister Barb (Pierre) Desmarais of Renfrew, ON and nephew Brandon Desmarais.
There will be no services, but he will be laid to rest with his parents and sister Judy, in the Field of Honour at Queen’s Park Cemetery in Calgary.
In lieu of flowers, it is asked that memorials be made to your local SPCA (Box 2647, Pincher Creek) or pet shelter.
The family would like to give special thanks to all of Lorne’s medical team, including the staff at both the Pincher Creek Health Centre and Chinook Regional Hospital, for the excellent care that he received.
