William J. Sarvey, Sr.

William J. Sarvey, Sr., 83, formerly of Conshohocken PA, passed away peacefully at the home of his granddaughter, Sara Weaver, in Collegeville PA, on April 15, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Conshohocken PA on February 8, 1933, he was the son of the late Clayton and Catherine (Hamilton) Sarvey and the beloved husband of the late Esther (Salamone), with whom he shared 57 years of marriage. Mr. Sarvey was a graduate of St. Matthew's High School and a proud veteran of the Korean War, serving in the US Army. He worked for Lee Tires and later for Lankford Buick before retiring. He was a devoted family man and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his two sons, Paul (Sally) of Collegeville and William Jr. (Dr. Richard Schwarz) of Warrington. Six grandchildren: Sara (Jason), Galen (Nick), Evan, Kara, Kyle and Jason. Three great-grandchildren: Elizabeth, Paul and Kelan. He was predeceased by two sisters, Elizabeth Byrnes and Kathleen Meszaros. Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Service on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 11 AM at the Emil J. Ciavarelli Family Funeral Home, 516 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428. A viewing will be from 9 AM – 11 AM at the Funeral Home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, his family is requesting that donations, in his name, are made to the National Parkinson Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131 or www.parkinson.org.
