Harriet Kisner Obituary

Harriet Jane Kisner, 89, of Wellman passed away January 1,2021 from complications of a recent stroke in Sun City, AZ. A private memorial service will be held at Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona, Saturday, January 9 at 1:00pm. A Livestream of the service will be available at the Beatty Peterseim Facebook Page. Because of COVID-19 masks will be required at the memorial service.

Harriet was born June 14, 1931, the daughter of C.T. Johnson and Tressa J. (Phillips) Johnson. She graduated from Wellman High School in 1950. She was united in marriage to Robert D. Yoder in 1951. They were later divorced. She married George Kisner on 12/24/1971. Harriet was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church in Wellman and was active in many social organizations such ALC Club, Embroidery Club, The Red Hats, and Eastern Star. She and George enjoyed traveling in their motorhome after their retirement.

She is survived by her husband, George, four children, Bonnie (John) Goodwin of Lisbon, Jane Coufal of Sun City, AZ, Doug (Janet) Yoder of Kalona and Jeff Yoder of Sun City, AZ; 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Roger Johnson. The family would like to thank the Lund Home, Hospice of the Valley, in Gilbert, AZ for the compassionate care given to our mother, especially Suzanna, Mom’s nurse.
