Michael Dante Jennings
Michael Dante Jennings was born September 28, 1979 in Louisville, Ky to Bruce (Skip) Hickman and Zarelda (Cee Cee) Jennings. Michael loved his daughters and there was no greater satisfaction for him than to be a father. Anyone who truly knew him, would tell you that he was fiercely loyal to both family and friends and had a smile that could light up a room. After getting the opportunity for a second chance, Michael took full advantage of it. After working in various positions throughout Louisville, Michael found his passion for construction when he participated in the Urban League's building trades program. He was so proud to earn several advanced certificates, acquire additional construction skills, and leadership opportunities. Michael used all he had learned and stepped out in the spring of 2020 and started his own business, Gladly Reconstruction. Michael was called home on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 and leaves to cherish his memory; 3 daughters, Kayla, Hope and Faith Jennings; 2 brothers, Charles Jennings and Andre Hickman; 3 sisters; Kendra and Chenee Jennings and Yvette Hayes; grandmother; Iva Jean Jennings; 2 uncles, Clarence Jennings, Jr and Johnny Blincoe, Jr; aunt, Lynnette (Blincoe) Simpson; 3 nieces, Cheyenne, Rianna, and Shaleah Jennings; 2 nephews, Christopher Lester and Charles Jennings, Jr; a host of cousins, especially Bobby McDaniel and Roy Beeler, other relatives and friends. Michael was preceded in death by parents and brother, Bruce Hickman, Jr. The Jennings family would like to thank the Urban League of Louisville, Donate Life of Kentucky, and everyone for the many calls, food, prayers and thoughts and all other acts of kindness that was shown to us during this difficult time.
