<p>Alex Buncy Jr., (aka Alex Rene), age 77 of the City of Tonawanda, unexpectedly, January 1, 2021, at his home. Alex loved Big Bands since his high school days in Cleveland, Ohio, as a member of what was then called a stage band. Shortly after coming to Buffalo in 1968 to attend the University at Buffalo, Alex formed his first Big Band and, with his loving wife and family, has been at it ever since. &nbsp;(www.alexrenebigband.com). &nbsp;&ldquo;Mr. Alex,&rdquo; was a volunteer at the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum and was a Cleveland Browns fan. He also worked for the McClellan Music House doing musical instrument repairs for many years. He was the son of the late Alex and Eva Buncy. &nbsp;He had attended the University of Buffalo and was a Cleveland Brown&rsquo;s fan.&nbsp; Beloved husband of Thelma (Pierce) Buncy.&nbsp; Father of Carolyn Evans and John (Kellie Meisner) Ammerman.&nbsp; Grandfather of Allen Gore, Nyssa Gore and Joshua Ammerman.&nbsp; He is also survived by four cousins. No prior visitation, a memorial service will be announced at a future date.
