Bonnie Purvis

Bonnie Purvis, age 65, daughter to Neville and Betty Riddle Purvis, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2021 in Sadieville. Bonnie was born in Scott County Kentucky on December 18, 1955. She was a member of Stamping Ground Christian Church, and enjoyed and was very active working with the sound system with His Majesty's Messengers. Bonnie was a graduate of Midway Junior College and a graduate of the University of Kentucky, in early childhood education. Bonnie loved her many years of work in the preschool program at 1st United Methodist Church in Georgetown. In addition to Bonnie's parents she is survived by her sister, Carla (Ken) Miles of Lancaster, South Carolina, brother Terry Elder of Georgetown, Kentucky and her Uncle, James Riddle of Bourbon County, Kentucky. Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, January 5, 2020 starting at 12 pm until the time of the service at 2 pm, at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Breeding and Rev. Rachele Holmes officiating. Burial will follow the service at Masonic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry Cassity, Larry Wood, Billy Cassity, Ray Lynn Campbell, Billy Martin Bridges, Jack Moreland, Donny Hensley and Ronnie Martin. Honorary bearers will be His Majesty's Messengers. Donations in Bonnie's name may be sent to The Preschool Program, 1st United Methodist Church, PO Box 1089, Georgetown, Kentucky 40324.
