Ralph Everett Braswell

Ralph Everett Braswell, age 97, of Bremen, Georgia passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020. He was born in Draketown, Georgia on October 15, 1923 to the late James D. Braswell, Sr. and the late Myrtle Pace Braswell. Ralph was a Veteran of the United States Army and served during World War II. He was a retired machinist from Hubbard’s and a member of Waco Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Brock Braswell of Bremen; son, Larry Braswell of California; grandchild, Shannon Quiroga (Ramsey); great-grandchildren, Hillary Stephens (Lee), Leo Quiroga; great-great-grandchild, Gabriel Keoan. In addition to his parents, Ralph was also preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Braswell; sisters, Bonell Wilson, Patricia Wilder, Sherry Braswell; brothers, James Braswell, Jr., Herbert Braswell, Carl Braswell. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Hightower’s Funeral Home in Bremen. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 11:00 AM following the visitation, with Minister Jeff Clark officiating. Coty Crawford, Keith Skinner, W.L. Rainey, Kelly Staggs, Eddie Bonner, and Craig Locke will be serving as Pall Bearers. Interment will follow the service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, we encourage everyone to make the best decisions to remain safe. If anyone wishes to attend these gatherings, please remember to remain 6 feet apart from those not in your household and wear personal protective equipment, if available.

I remember the gatherings at Grandparents of Pace family and seeing all my cousins in uniform. They. were so handsome to a 5 year old. Ralph was always so soft spoken and kind. Sorry that he is gone.

I remember presenting Ralph an award for his service during the War in which he was wounded while serving and awarded the purple Heart Metal!
