He resided in Brooklyn, NY before moving to Berkeley Heights 44 years ago. For many years Frank enjoyed a successful career in IT Sales and Design, most recently for the firm Computer Associates. After retiring, Frank began his second career working part-time for the Berkeley Heights YMCA. For the past 10 years, with his welcoming smile and cheerful disposition, he became a true member of the YMCA family. Frank most enjoyed spending time with his family around a big meal engaged in simple conversation. He loved spending time talking about sports, in particular baseball and the New York Yankees. He was a dedicated coach who inspired many young athletes. Frank could always be heard singing a doo-wop song or whistling an old favorite. He loved the warm weather and riding around with his convertible top down. Visiting with his granddaughters was the highlight of his day. Frank’s greatest love was for his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Linda Cavallo (née Ingargiola) of Berkeley Heights; his loving children, Melissa Kardos and her husband Craig of Warren, Frank Cavallo, Jr. of New York City, and Christine Cavallo of Berkeley Heights, and his cherished granddaughters, Cate and Lauren Kardos. Donations in Frank’s memory can be made to The Berkeley Heights YMCA.
