Duane Leonard Deyling Obituary

Duane Leonard Deyling, 70 of Seville died December 22, 2020 at Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, Tennessee due to complications from a 4-wheeler accident. Duane was born in Medina, Ohio on February 20, 1950 to parents William Ambrose Deyling and Betty Jane Deyling (Blair). He was a retired union laborer, from 310 Laborer Union of Cleveland, Ohio.

Duane was an avid member to many organizations, as evidenced that he was a man of many hobbies and interest. He was a member of Izaak Walton League of America, NRA – National Rifle Association and Archaeological Society of Ohio (ASO).

Those whom have been blessed to know Duane have memories full of jokes and big laughs. He had a radiant personality that allowed him to be the center of a crowd. Duane lived life big and loved big. He will always be remembered as the man who was born 100 years too late. He dedicated his life to being the perfect example of hard work and he was a man that just could not sit still. He had a love for hunting, fishing, gardening, collecting weapons and artifacts. Over the last 6 years he also dedicated his life to being “papa”. We all believe it was his most valued journey thus far.

Duane leaves behind one son William Duane (Keri Yvonne) Deyling; one granddaughter: Emma Deyling; one grandson: Levi Deyling; Barbara Fosdick; Siblings: David (Cheri) Deyling, Diane (Richard) Palker and John Deyling; Nephews: Brian Deyling, Brett (Maryann) Deyling, Andrew (Megan) Palker and Jonathon Deyling; many great nephews and nieces and lots of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: William and Betty Deyling.

Friends and family will come together in late spring for a celebration of life and memorial tribute at the property of Son (William) and daughter – in – law (Keri) Deyling. Duane will have a memorial stone located at Creston Mound Hill Cemetery.
