Guy Leland Furl, 81, of Warren, OH died March 13, 2014 at Champion Estates of Windsor House. He was born March 3, 1933 in Orviston, PA, a son of the late William Howard Furl and the late Ella (Felmlee) Furl. He married Sandra (Gillespie) Furl on April 25, of 1959. Guy was employed at General Refractories of Warren in the shipping department for 40 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War. Guy was a member of Niles First Baptist Church where he was a deacon. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Sandra Gillespie Furl of Warren, OH, brother, Howard (Phyllis) Furl Jr. of Windham, OH, sister, Jane (Phillip) Gillespie of Huntsville, AL, nephew, Kenneth (Cynthia) Furl of Warren, OH, nephew, Neil (Marilee) Gillespie of Sairless Hills, PA, niece, Debra Pfleiderer of Rootstown, OH, nephew, Eric Gillespie of Huntsville, AL, niece, Patty (Lynn) Herdlick of North Canton, OH. as well as many grandnieces and grandnephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be held at 7:30 pm on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where Pastor Ben Reed and David Burman Jr. will officiate. Friends may call from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Interment will be in Romola, Cemetery in Howard, PA. The family requests that material contributions be made to Niles First Baptist Church, 26 E Church St, Niles, OH 44446., in his memory.
