Sandra E. Furl, 79, of Warren, OH went to be with the Lord on August 14, 2015 at Shepherd of the Valley- Howland. She was born June 6, 1936 in Lock Haven, PA, a daughter of the late John Edwin and Lois (Young) Gillespie. She married Guy L. Furl on April 25, 1959 and spent 55 years together until his passing in 2014. Sandra was a graduate of Lock Haven High School and a member of Niles First Baptist Church. She loved to sing, and performed many sacred music concerts and weddings. Sandra enjoyed home decorating, and decorated her home as well as helped decorate those of friends and family. She also enjoyed going on dune buggy rides with her brother and sister in law in rural PA, Sandra also liked flowers and playing golf with her husband. Left to cherish her memories are her nephews; Kenneth (Cynthia) Furl of Warren, OH; Neil (Marilee) Gillespie of Fairless Hills, PA; Eric Gillespie of Huntsville, AL; Jon Gillespie of Canton, OH; Chris Gillespie of Columbus, OH; Steven Linn of Mill Hall, PA; Michael Linn of Philadelphia, PA; nieces; Debra Pfleiderer of Rootstown, OH; Patty (Lynn) Herdlick of North Canton, OH; numerous great nieces and nephews, sisters, Patt Linn of Mill Hall, PA, and Carol (Dick) Dymek of MA, brother, Phillip (Jane) Gillespie of New Market, AL, sisters in law, Leota Gillespie of Canton, OH and Phyllis Furl of Windham, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Guy L. Furl, and her brother, Tom Gillespie. Memorial services will be held at 7:00 pm on Monday, August 17, 2015 at Niles First Baptist Church, 26 E. Church Street, Niles, OH 44446, where Pastor Ben Reed, Rev. David Burman Jr. and Rev. Kenneth Furl will officiate. The family requests that in lieu of flowers material contributions be made to Hospice of the Valley, 5000 E Market St #19, Warren, OH 44484, in her memory. Arrangements were entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
