John Wallace Gasko, Sr., fondly known as “Johnny”, tragically passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020. He was 31 years old. Johnny was born in Trenton and was a lifelong resident of Monroe Township. Johnny was a dedicated husband, a new, but doting father and loyal friend to all. He was an old soul, with a sharp wit and dry sense of humor who was loved by young and old. A big guy, with an even bigger heart. Johnny was the fourth generation owner and operator of his local family farm, John Gasko & Son Farm and Greenhouses and was a welcome staple at the Collingswood Flea Market. Ever the entrepreneur, he always had his next business venture planned. He was a huge fan of racing. He loved NASCAR and had an affinity for Dale Ernhardt, Sr., Jr., and Kyle Larson. He frequented Wall Stadium and New Egypt Speedway throughout his life, always a fixture in the pits at both tracks. He was predeceased by his father, John D. Gasko, Jr. in October of 2020. He is survived by his adoring wife of three years, Allison Gasko, their 8 month old son, John W., Jr.; his mother, Linda Gasko; his sister, Jaimee Gomez, her husband Kevin; his nephew, Oliver; and many other extended family members and friends. Johnny touched the lives of so many, including those of his community and the many patrons of the family farm. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all that knew him in his short, yet memorable life. Taken far too soon, the best was yet to come.
