MILDRED SIKES HARRISON COX FUNERAL HOME BASTROP, LOUISIANA Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Sikes Harrison will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Tillou Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Myrick and Rev. Taylor Freeland officiating. Committal and interment will follow at the Extra Community Cemetery, Ashley County, Arkansas under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop. The family will also receive friends on Thursday, October 13th, beginning at 1:00 p.m. until time for services at Tillou Baptist Church. Mildred Sikes Harrison was born September 29, 1924 at Blaine, Mississippi. She passed away peacefully on October 9, 2016 at Legrand Healthcare in Bastrop, Louisiana. Mrs. Harrison was a member of Tillou Baptist Church and a devoted nurse for both Dr. Carter Cox and Dr. Camilla Carter Cox. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Harrison is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Bealie Harrison, her parents, Charles E. Sikes and Lula Andleton Sikes, her infant son, Mikel Rodger Harrison, her grandson, Michael Harrison, and nine sisters. She is survived by two daughters, Debra Harrison Hughes and Shirley Harrison Warner and her husband, Gary Warner, her son, John E. Harrison, seven grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers are Layne Warner, Chris Johnson, Clint Turner, Chase Turner, Matthew Campbell, Holden Harrison, and Nicholas Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Carter Cox, Brandon Stevenson, Jim Guest, Ethan Warner, T.J. Guest, Bryson Johnson, and Carson Harrison. Our family would also like to thank Dr. Carter Cox and LeGrand Healthcare family for all their care and thoughtfulness shown our mother these last years.
