Joyce A. Kaderabek, 93, of Sheboygan, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Countryside Manor. She was born February 24, 1927 in Plymouth to Fred and Norma (Albrecht) Raeder. On October 22, 1955 she was united in marriage to Edwin L. Kaderabek in the Town of Plymouth. He preceded her in death on October 13, 1999. Joyce had a love of food, cooking and entertaining. She began her career in hospitality in 1943, managing The Grill in Plymouth, WI. From 1953 to 1960, she was the owner/operator of the Playdium Restaurant in Sheboygan, WI. After her third child was born, she went back to work and held positions at Town and Country Club, the Flamingo Supper Club, and finally at the American Club, where she retired in 1989 as the Executive Housekeeper after 15 years. Joyce and Edwin loved visiting the log cabin they built in Keshena WI, where she enjoyed fishing and playing Sheepshead with friends and family. Joyce was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church in Sheboygan, a former PTA President, and Sunday school teacher. Joyce is survived by her four children; David (Connie) Kaderabek of Sheboygan, Denise Jordan of Chicago, Daniel (Tracy) Kaderabek of Cleveland, and Dawn (Todd) Becker of Sussex, by her seven grandchildren; Crystal Kaderabek-Gries, Alex, Connor, and Elle Becker, Alayna and Bryce Jordan, and Elouise Kaderabek, by her three great-grandchildren; Austin, Garret, and Sophia Gries. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edwin and her siblings; Clarence, Lawrence, Janet, Fritz, and Nancy. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral & Cremation Care Center, 1201 N. 8th St. Sheboygan. A Private Funeral Service and Burial will be held afterward. Burial will take place at Wildwood Cemetery in Sheboygan. Joyce’s service will be recorded and can be viewed on the Ballhorn Chapel’s Website under Joyce’s obituary. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to The Hunger Task Force, hungertaskforce.org in her memory.
