Flora A Hover

Flora Alice Hover, 90, of Stillwater, OK, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, January 29, 2017 in Edmond, OK. Services have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater, OK. Alice was born October 1, 1926 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to John and Versie (Hadley) Reeder. She was one of six children born to this union. She grew up mostly in Stillwater where she attended school and remained through her adult life. She enjoyed working as a cook in several different restaurants around the area. She was a well known baker to her family for her cinnamon rolls and homemade bread, which they enjoyed greatly. She was a member of Victory Christian Center in Stillwater. She was involved in the prison ministry and the shoebox ministry at the church for many years. She enjoyed sharing the message and love of Jesus Christ to everyone she met. Alice is survived by two sons, Ted Hover and wife Jeanita of Stillwater, OK, and Gentry Hover and wife Becky of Wynette, OK; two daughters, Nathalene Wallis of Oklahoma City, OK, and Malvena Wells and husband Dwain of Moore, OK; two sisters, Lois Johnson and husband Delbert of Arlington, TX, and Dorothy Downey of Farmers Branch, TX; sixteen grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and 17 great great-granchildren; several cousins; and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her son, Carl Hover; sister, Lottie Christian; four brothers, John Reeder, Calvin Reeder, Lewis Reeder, and Grant Armstrong. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Monday, February 6, 2017 at Victory Christian Center in Stillwater with Pastor Phyllis Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel cemetery in Glencoe. Visitation will be 1:00pm to 6:00pm Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Palmer Marler Funeral Home. Family will receive guests from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.
