Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers.</strong></p> <p>Dorothy Evelyn (Powers) Ferguson-Swanson, 98 of Argos, Indiana passed away on Thursday December 24, 2020 at 10:45 a.m. at the Catherine Kasper Life Center, Donaldson, Indiana. On April 20, 1922 in Argos, Indiana she was born to Reuben Powers and Gussie (McCollough) Powers. Dorothy lived all of her life in the Argos community.</p> <p>On March 1, 1941 she married Melvin Ferguson, he passed away on April 10, 1970; she married Joe Chaplin in September 1973, he passed away on October 19, 1977; she then married Roy Swanson on March 30, 1980, he passed away in February 2009.</p> <p>Dorothy worked for the Argos Telephone Company from 1940 to 1975. She then worked for United Telephone in Plymouth, Indiana until her retirement in 1985.</p> <p>She was a faithful member of the Argos Bible Church; now Parkside Community Church Argos, Indiana. Dorothy was a graduate of Argos High School with the class of 1940 serving as the Class Secretary of her class.</p> <p>Dorothy is survived by her Sons – John Ferguson and wife Elaine of Argos, Indiana; Jerry Ferguson and wife Karen of Onalaska, Wisconson; and James Ferguson and wife Rhonda of Argos, Indiana</p> <p>4 Grandchildren - Jean Johnson and husband Todd of Onalaska, Wisconson; Eric Ferguson and wife Amy of Plymouth, Indiana; Gregg Ferguson of Argos, Indiana; and Seth Ferguson and wife Lauren of Plymouth, Indiana 6 Great Grandchildren - Joshua, Jenna, Aubrey, Bryce, Brayden, and Kenzington </p> <p>Sister – Velma Harmon of Plymouth, Indiana</p> <p>Brother – Ray "Bud" Powers of Argos, Indiana</p> <p>5 Step Children</p> <p>She is preceded in death by her Parents; Husbands; and 2 Step Children</p> <p>Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday December 29, 2020 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Parkside Community Church, 225 S. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana.</p> <p>Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday December 29, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Parkside Community Church with Rev. Brian Trump.
