Mr. David Trax Norris, 85, was born on August 15, 1935 in Jena, and passed away on December 22, 2020 at his home in Jena. He is survived by his wife, Mary Louise Smith Norris of Jena; daughters, Julia Shields of Madisonville, Louisiana, Cheryl Ebersole (Bob) of Waverly, Virginia, Karen Harris of Semmes, Alabama; daughter of his heart, Wendy Robertson (Kenny) of Jena; sister Thanna Jean Breland of Jena; grandchildren, Sandra Akhtar (Waseem), Ashton Harris, Brandon Robertson (fiancé, Rosanne), Delainey Mayo (Ryan), Ryan Robertson (Shelby); great grandchildren, Aryaan Akhtar, Zavi Akhtar, Lana Jolly, Kellan Brown, Michael Mayo, Sophie Mayo, and Easton Robertson. He is preceded in death by his father, John Norris; mother, Effie Norris; brother, Sam Norris; and sister, Johnnie Bess Norris Cothran. The service for Mr. David Trax Norris will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2020, at 10 a.m. at Midway Baptist Church in Jena with Reverend Daniel Breithaupt and Reverend Gary Norris officiating under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. Visitation will be Saturday, December 26, 2020, at 9 a.m. until the time of service at Midway Baptist Church in Jena.
