Over the next 4 decades, together with her husband, she pastored churches in Amarillo, Hereford, San Angelo, and Abilene, TX, eventually returning to make San Angelo her home. Roberta loved doing anything creative, from making music to making puppets. Baking, sewing, painting, she enjoyed it all. She was blessed to be loved by several pets over the years, leaving fun-loving Peanut to be spoiled by her husband. She was a member and First Lady at New Beginnings Church of God. Mrs. Bruce was survived by her husband Pastor Thomas Bruce, her son Pastor Joe Bruce and wife Fondee, her daughters Melissa Jackson and husband Brent, of Weatherford, TX, and Tammy Eubank and husband Kirby of San Angelo, sixteen grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.
