ANITA DIXON EPPLEY Obituary

Anita Dixon Eppley, born in California on 5/4/1931 to Josiah Craig and Edna Campbell Dixon, passed away peacefully on 12/20/2020 surrounded by close family. The multi-published author, college lecturer, Master’s Degree recipient from Notre Dame, advocate for the disadvantaged, former Sister of Charity, and the widow of Professor Emeritus George Eppley, Anita Dixon Eppley was preceded in death by her sister Joan and her brother Craig. Her sisters Carol and Jane, her brothers John, Terence and Edward, 21 nieces and nephews, members of the Eppley family, and countless loving friends and colleagues will mourn her loss. Anita will be remembered for her grace, her generosity of heart, her good humor and her fine intellect. A Funeral Mass will be held to celebrate her life at Saint Malachi’s, 2459 Washington Road, Cleveland on January 2, 2021 at 10:00 AM with interment following immediately at Holy Cross Cemetery. A Wake will not be held due to Covid restrictions. Memorial donations can be made to one of Anita’s favorite charitable organizations, like the Greater Cleveland Food Bank (15500 South Waterloo Road, Cleveland, OH 44110) The livestream of the funeral mass will be available at stmalachi.org
