Jason "Jay" Roy Alba Obituary

Jason “Jay” Alba, 47, husband of Patricia for 18 years, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 20, 2020. A devoted husband, loving father and son, and a true family man. Jay was the rock that his family leaned on when anything was needed. Jay was born in New York, New York on November 20, 1973, the third of four children to Caroline and Aurelio Alba. He was raised on Staten Island, NY, completed his undergrad at NYU, and while still in New York, he would meet the love of his life, Patricia Dandron. The two moved to Michigan and were married in 2002. Jay went on to get his M.B.A. from the University of Michigan. It was not long before he climbed the ranks at Ally Financial, eventually becoming an Executive, having been with the company for over 13 years. He was well respected by all who knew him. As a family man, Jay loved to attend his kids’ games and performances. He enjoyed not only cheering from the sideline, but helped as a baseball coach as well. His family and friends would often joke that Jay was probably the smartest guy in the room but never shared it. He was always a voice of reason. Family was everything to Jay, even as a young man himself, always defending his siblings. He was truly loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed by all who crossed his path. Devoted husband of Patricia for 18 years, loving father of Naomi, Nate, and Noah. Beloved son of Caroline and Aurelio Alba. Dear brother of Lynne Baguio (Ben), John Alba (Juana), and Aurelyn Robinson (Ken). Cherished uncle of Nino Baguio, Misha Baguio, Madison Alba, Nolan Alba, Sophia Robinson, Matt Dandron (Nichole), Mike Dandron, Emily Dandron, and Deanna Zawislak. Son-in-law of Arnold Dandron (late Deanna). Brother-in-law of Rob Dandron (Shanna), Ann Zawislak (late Ken), Alan Dandron (David Boyd), and Susan Dandron. Family will receive friends on Monday, December 28, 2020 from 1:00pm - 9:00pm at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel) 32515 Woodward Ave (between 13-14 Mile). A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 10:00am at the National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica (12 Mile/Woodward) in Royal Oak. Visitation begins at the church at 9:30am.
