<p>Friday, December 18, 2020, Ronald Lee Antes, loving husband and father passed away at his home in Payson, AZ. at the age of 73.</p> <p>Ron was born on January 26, 1947 in Lancaster, PA. to Gilbert and Elizabeth Antes. He was a well known member of the animal health pharmaceutical business enjoying a career spanning four decades. Ron retired from active sales in 2016, but remained in contact with many in the industry for years after.</p> <p>Ron was married to his &quot;Sweetie Pie&quot;, Earlene, on October 23, 1993. They enjoyed 27 love filled years together with traveling, frequenting casinos, and enjoying their adopted state of Arizona.</p> <p>Ron was always a joy to be around and would light up a room with his smile. He loved to laugh and will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor. He loved singing karaoke, especially crooning the tunes, &quot;My Way&quot; by Frank Sinatra and &quot;Love Me Tender&quot; by Elvis. If Ron wasn&#39;t singing, he could be heard whistling a tune. Boy, could that man whistle! He also loved golfing and playing cribbage. His children each have the fond memory of the first time they won a game against him. He would not let them win - they had to earn the win!</p> <p>Ron also was an excellent cook. He inherited his love of cooking from his mother, Betty, and passed that passion to his children. He was known for baking a wonderful &quot;punkin (pumpkin) roll&quot; to share with friends and family.</p> <p>Ron was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert, and his mother,Betty. In addition to his wife, Earlene, Ron is survived by his brother, Larry (Christine) Antes; his sister, Donna Murphy; two daughters, Melinda (Rocky) Carter and Andrea (Bert) Laaker; a son, Phillip (Regina) Antes; five grandchildren; and three great-grandsons; three step-daughters, Marlene, Penny, and Tina. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.</p> <p>A celebration of Ron&#39;s life will be held at an appropriate time (TBD) in 2021. In lieu of flowers, please make donations on his behalf to a charity that supports dementia / Alzheimer&#39;s research or to a Hospice facility in your area. Ron will be greatly missed and will be in the hearts of his family and friends forever.</p>

Ron was born on January 26, 1947 in Lancaster, PA. to Gilbert and Elizabeth Antes. He was a well known member of the animal health pharmaceutical business enjoying a career spanning four decades.
