GAINES JR., CLAUDE HUGH (also known as “Bud”), age 80, of Clarkston, Michigan, passed away December 14, 2020. He was born on March 31, 1940 in Pontiac MI, son of the late Claude Sr. and Lois Gaines (nee Riley); beloved father of Diana (Alfred) Hubarth and Brad (Kevin) Gaines; proud grandfather of Megan and Justin Hubarth; dearest brother of David Gaines and predeceased by siblings Ruth Gaines-Miller and William Gaines. Claude graduated with a biomedical engineer degree from Schoolcraft College while working at Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital for many years; eventually leaving to open up his own business B&G Biomedical. His passion was restoring cars, his prized restoration was a red 1940 Ford Hardtop. In his free time, he would frequent car shows and spend as much time as he could with his family. Claude’s “Dad” jokes will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be on Saturday from 10 AM -12 PM at COATS FUNERAL HOME – WATERFORD (3141 Sashabaw Rd.). Due to Pandemic restrictions; only 25 people are allowed in the Funeral Home at a time and masks are required for entry, thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
