Richard A. “Rick” Carr, 52, of Indianapolis, passed away at his home on Friday, June 9, 2017. Born April 2, 1965, Rick was the son of Richard Carr and Joyce M. (Soltis) Carr; his father preceded him in death. Rick was a 1983 graduate of Perry Meridian High School and later graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in logistics management. He spent many years working in restaurants and equipment sales. Rick enjoyed spending his time helping others and volunteering with Mindy for animal – related causes. Survivors include his loving fiancée, Mindy Greene; his mother and step father, Tom and Joyce Wamsley of Indianapolis; three sisters: Suzan M. (John) Steadham of Indianapolis, Diane E. (Brian) Carr-Jones of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and Joanne E. (Kelly) Graham of Indianapolis; three brothers: William R. (Sharon) Carr of Fishers, Joseph A. (Jennifer) Carr of Fishers, and Ronald D. (Melanie) Carr of Indianapolis; his second parents, Don and Toni Stuhldreher; the entire Stuhldreher-Greene clan; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, countless friends; and his six fur babies, Alex, Carly, Shelbi, Gary, Myles, and Sophie. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Rick’s life from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 in the chapel at the Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 South East Street, Indianapolis. The memorial service will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
