Betty Jean Pate Greer, SC Betty Jean Weatherman Pate, 75, of 201 Justin Drive went to be with the Good Lord Saturday, January 12, 2013. A native of Marion, NC, she was the wife of Norman Gene Pate of the home and the daughter of the late Carl Weatherman and the late Annie Ree Dillingham Willis and Phillip Willis. Ms. Pate was a member of Prospect Baptist Church in Mooresboro, NC and a homemaker. Survivors also include a son, Tommy Bishop of Taylors, two daughters, Donna Edwards, and Teresa Pruitt, both of Lyman, seven grandchildren, Tyrone LaNave, Gretchen Lampinen, Dana Strickland, Brandon LaNave, Dexter Campbell, David Campbell and Chasity Bishop, sixteen great-grandchildren and a great-great grandson. Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Tues at Prospect Baptist Church with Rev. Ernie Cole officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Monday at Stribling Funeral Home. The interment will be in the church cemetery. The family is at the home.
