Paul Eugene Howard Obituary

Paul Eugene Howard was born September 12, 1950 in San Jose, California, where he really did walk to school uphill both ways.

After a successful career on the BYU football team, he was drafted to the Denver Broncos in 1973.

During his 14-year career, he was known for his consistency, leadership, camaraderie and brotherly love for his fellow teammates.

Off the football field, he enjoyed riding bikes, scuba diving, and hunting.

Paul retired from various business ventures and married Jacque in 2010. They enjoyed life by spending times with friends and family.

Paul’s fun side was shown while singing Elvis songs during karaoke and dancing with Jacque.

True friendship was more important to him than fame.

Paul was a humble man who was loved by many and will be missed forever. We are blessed that he was a part of our lives.

Following a brief hospitalization, he died on December 5, 2020.

He is survived by his wife, Jacque, daughters Nicole and Melissa (Jason), five grandchildren, two brothers, one sister and multiple nieces and nephews.

Paul used his strength to improve others’ lives, and following his example is the best way to honor him.
